Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

so i've been v v depressed for the longest time, both before and after experiencing ✨trauma✨. did the whole therapy and meds thing. changed my lifestyle, environment, all of it. and yk things were still bad. tried journaling and meditating too, and confided in friends. so what fixed all of it?

getting off of melatonin.

i know it's fucking crazy, didn't even do it intentionally, i just didn't take it for a while and felt better, started again and immediately started feeling worse. and honestly not much else has changed. i still smoke and drink, still am quite independent, and yk the trauma thing isn't rlly going away anytime soon.

but i'm not saying to stop taking your sleeping pills (especially if prescribed) I'm saying to try things you wouldn't expect to. You see something crazy on the internet? If it's not dangerous, try going without or adding it for a week or two. If it helps, that's awesome! If not, you can go right back to it. The journey never ends. Something that works for you might be dreadful for someone else. And the alternate might also be true. But don't only rely on the go-to clinical or lifestyle solutions. Try something you don't think will do anything. Maybe it will be the solution you need after all.

And that's my two cents.

I've been taking melatonin every night for years. Maybe I'll try going without it and see what happens.
