I really, desperately need some sleep. Not a metaphor for ctb, just literally need to sleep.

I haven't slept for 2 nights and even the night before that, I only had like 2 hours of sleep

My mind just keeps spinning, looking for answers, looking for patterns where there aren't any. I've had these problems for 15 years, but it's never been this bad

Any advice? Don't like sleeping pills

it's not a sleeping pill but it'll put you to sleep fast. 25mg should suffice.

if you arent worried abt safety, i mix different sedatives ( usually benzos ) with melatonin. havent died from it myself ( as i do this daily ), but it works, but it is supposedly dangerous, so if you wanna more normal sleep method, the 4-7 breathing technique has helped alot of people ive heard. Wishing you well, man

If you've tried everything like exercising daily, eating healthy, meditation ect, maybe consider telling your Doctor what's going on. I had similar problems with sleep+mental stuff, and was prescribed an SSRI, benzos and Seroquel. I was skeptical but they work. I'm still taking SSRI everyday, benzos when I really need them, and only really needed the Seroquel for a couple of weeks.

Hope you find a solution soon, sleep is so important.

How exactly are you not able to sleep? Do you not get sleepy? Is it mental or physical, or both?

I'd drink a half pint if I was desperate, but usually I can mediate, and clear my mind. Imagine yourself in a grey room. Laying on a grey mattress. There is no contrast. Focus on the grey. You are on the grey mattress.
May take some practice.

The idea is to reign in your speeding mind.

i take melatonine + sleeping pills (sometimes 1/4 pill is useful enough). melatonin alone works very well too. otherwise i take valium or other benzos but i think you're looking for natural products. if i were you, i'd try 1 or 2 melatonin pills + 1/4 zolpidem (you can ask to your doctor). it's a very low dose. i don't like taking pills neither but i have no choice with taking all these benzos

I mix my medicine with 4 benadryl pills, sometimes I take 5 if I really need rest. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to not be able to sleep. I'm sorry.

White noise helps me. I have an old radio that I tune to a non-broadcasting, AM station until I get only the "hiss" of background noise.

I don't know if you don't like pills in general or just sleeping pills, but I take 2 zyrtec and a valerian and I've yet to have it fail, even on airplanes. Sometimes the next day I'm still kind of sleepy and out of it, but very worth it if I haven't slept a couple nights in a row.

Sleep meditation videos are a huge help for me.

Caroline McCready on YouTube makes my favorites.
