There's a couple other threads from me over the past few days, if anyone wants more context.
But for now, basic info:
- part I know the least about: I dissolved the SN on Saturday night (less than 48 hours) but couldn't make myself take it at the time. I hope it hasn't degraded in the meantime. Did some googling but my chemistry understanding is very minimal.
- 25g SN dissolved in 50ish ml water. And the same again as back up.
- haven't eaten since last night, just fluids today. But that did include 1-2 glasses wine this afternoon
- no anti-emetics, plan to take a second glass if/when I vomit. Also have dimenhydrinate gum (from having food poisoning while traveling), I know this will probably have little or no effect but had it in the cupboard anyway so thought I might as well.
- took 40mg esomeprazole (PPI for reducing stomach acid) 45 mins before. This is less than the PPH states, but I was concerned to take 4 times the dose recommended on the packet in case it make me more likely to vomit (packet said 1 20mg tablet a day, PPH states 800mg)
- and 10mg diazepam 45 mins before. I usually only take 5mg at a time so this should chill me out a little.
Worried about vomitting and not being able to force myself to take the second dose. or SI making me call for help (I can't imagine doing this right now but I know from previous experience that the urge can be strong and unexpected as soon as you feel physically unwell). Also small chance of a friend turning up as people know I'm not coping. But have made it as difficult as possible to get into my house.
Would appreciate any support, chat etc while I go through the effects, of anyone if around. Otherwise, I have my "sad but good" playlist to listen to.
If I don't resurface on here over the next few days then I guess I was successful. If not, I'll report back when ready.
Taste was bad but not unbearable. I held my nose by still tasted extremely salty. The worse bit is the taste in your throat after I tried a few sips of water, mouthwash and gargle, and now am back on my minty antiemetic gum
