Hello everyone:) since today is Valentine's Day I was wondering how many of you are in a relationship and how many are single?
If you are single would you like to be in a relationship or at the moment you are fine with it, and if you have a partner are you happy with him / her or things are not going very well? Personally, I have been single for a long time now and sometimes I find myself fantasizing about a relationship but I think I will die soon (hopefully) without ever having known "true love" and sencerely I feel a little bit sorry for that because I believe that the only beautiful thing worth living is love ... I'm severely depressed it's true but I'm also romantic.: 3 <3 So I wish everyone "Happy Valentine's Day" and long live Love !! <3

I have someone that it took me 5 years to find after a horrible break up. Never thought I would love again, when we met I tried to test him. Did everything to push him away, talked about my depression, my suicide attempts, my marks from slitting my arms and veins. Nearly a year and a half he is still here. He does know when I'm down and need my space . I'm also very romantic, always dreamed of the perfect man, but realised that didn't exist. But he's close enough, if he can endure me at my worst and stick around, then I gave him my heart. Not my soul yet, but my heart yes. Today is Valentine's Day, bought a cake just for the sake of it, we aren't doing anything sappy or dining out. But a hug and a silence is all I need. And a movie too. That's all. My sweet @atari , I was starting to feel really lonely I needed a human touch after 5 years. I ve stopped believing in love for that long, and I was always a romantic girl. When I started to feel a bit better I went online , like all of us do these days, is the only way to meet people. Let me tell you I p went on like 20 dates, and would either run away by pretending to go to the toilet, cause the person wasnt interesting. Lots of chatting online, honestly, it really takes determination like you said. After so many failed attempts I was about to give up, when this sweet soul gave me a match and said hello, and I was like, oh no not another one, they either don't look like nothing in the picture and 90% only wants sex. This one we chatted for weeks and weeks, i tested him with all I could. Then we became to FaceTime. Kind blue eyes, usually not my type back then, but we went on a date kept in touch as friends, he got me by taking me for who I was, a wreck at the time, this was shortly after I joined ss. Then well I started to feel something for him, just a bit, who grew up with time, like I said, has my heart, but not my soul yet. He is so patient with me, knows I avoid crowds so never invites me to go to malls at busy times and such, knows I'm sick, that sometimes I just want to be alone. And he's patient and sweet. It's amazing to feel his arms around me. That cake is for us, and for you my virtual sweetie.

Relationships aren't what they appear to be. Most relationships are highly toxic and they're only together out of loneliness, history, just settling for each other, comfortability, low self esteem thinking this is the best that they can do, insecurities thinking that they can't make it on their own, pressure from some members of society, etc... Most relationships are about staying in toxic relationships because they don't want to be alone or die alone.

Happily single! I've never dated, but considering how demanding, stressful, and costly human courtship and relationships are, it feels like I've dodged a cannonball. Interestingly, the deepest and most satisfying attractions I experience have always been with fictional characters. Currently, my heart is still set on Faust, Venom, and Zato-1 from the Guilty Gear series.

This Valentine's Day, I made red pepper mushroom cream sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce took longer than anticipated, and I didn't have enough time or energy to boil the whole grain pasta or steam the broccoli. Therefore, the vegan chocolates I sampled stood in for dinner. No matter. I can try out the premade red pepper mushroom cream sauce with whole grain pasta and steamed broccoli this upcoming evening and the next.

I have a phobia of any kind of touching, even if someone touched my arm for example, I would be horrified. Also, I just need to be alone and I do not trust people at all.

As for the red pepper mushroom cream sauce, it turned out very well. Though, I'm wondering if I used a little too much roasted red bell pepper or not enough herbs since I couldn't taste the portobello mushroom powder and could barely taste the herbs. Looks like it's back to the drawing board for that recipe.

Thank you, @S like suicide! I enjoy testing out my new recipes on special occasions. There are some nut-based cream sauces in my recipe collection that I wrote and trying to perfect. Pasta is also one of my favorite foods, whether whole grain or legume-based.

As for the red pepper mushroom cream sauce, it turned out very well. Though, I'm wondering if I used a little too much roasted red bell pepper or not enough herbs since I couldn't taste the portobello mushroom powder and could barely taste the herbs.
