My only brother, suffering from lung cancer, suddenly passed away today--He went peacefully ,indeed I texted himyesterday, he couldn't talk but he said he was just tired and in no pain---When his girlfriend called the ambulance earlier this morning,he was semi-conscious and lost consciousness in the ambulance,his son was at his bedside when he passed--now no one left now for me but my stepmother--My brother had 3 kids,4 grandkids--Just a weeka ago,I was talking to him on the phone,he was sitting on a bench at the beach and seemed ok

I'm so sorry. It's a relief that he went peacefully surrounded by his loved ones but I'm so sad for you.

So sorry for your loss, it's very sad to lose a loved one for sure.

I lost my mom this past March, she had cancer as well, she fought it pretty tough for a few years but it wasn't enough to defeat it. I'm proud of the way she fought though, I don't know where she got the strength from or how she didn't just throw in the proverbial towel.

I'm sure your brother fought hard too, there's something to be said for that

I'm very sorry. I know these abrupt losses can be really rough. Even when we are aware that the person is in poor health it can come as a complete shock. One day we're conversing, and the person sounds... maybe better than usual... and then there's a phone call giving bad news, and you wish that last conversation had been even just a little bit longer. Hang in there. See if you can think of something nice that you can do for yourself, okay?
