Venting Tired of having no privacy

There are people in my town looking through my windows and shit. They want to see everything I do. Ever since high school they have been doing this. They post what they learn about me all over the internet and make memes about it. They use spam accounts and shit for this. Cruelty because I fucked up when I was a teenager. But it's okay and I deserve it because of that and being the weird, dirty kid. Some people are just meant to be fucked with I guess. I'm essentially having my every move being followed and I can't leave my small hometown. I just need to CTB. I already have my plans and shit. Then I can finally be at peace. They probably will even follow me here.

Hey, I'm sorry you're going through this. The constant fear and sensation of being watched even when inside a safe space which is supposed to be private and comforting is hell. Like you can't escape what isn't even supposed to be fled. So I just had a question if you don't mind, when you say they post about it, what exactly do you mean by that? I imagine there is nobody in your life who you can talk to about this? Family maybe, friends, etc

The problem is that I don't want to create a scene. Most people don't know who I actually am, so I would rather keep it that way. These memes don't really have my name or whatever on it, so only people in my hometown who know me know about this. I also assume most people would blame me for what happened when I was younger, and that I deserve to be treated like this. That's what is keeping me silent. I don't even think people will be empathetic.

Consider withdrawing from social media and changing email. Change your legal name, if you have to.
Moving out and starting anew is not impossible. Just cover your tracks, and don't look back.

I don't really post on social media, but they look into my house to see what I'm listening to/ watching. It drives me crazy. I also can't move right now for several reasons, but maybe I can try? I don't know.

They'll leave hints and find out things I like and post about it on spam accounts. They'll do this on anything, They'll make something I enjoy trend on social media, and I know it's them because I can hear them snicker about it and talk about it in public. Also, nobody in my life believes me. Even with proof.

Your neighbors would have to be both very well connected, and very motivated. Setting social media trends is a big and expensive operation.
That makes it unlikely, and hard to believe.

I just bump into them sometimes. I hear them talking behind my back in public.

I know I could be paranoid, if feels like there are too many coincidences in my life. At the very least, they make spam accounts on social media to push things. So I guess they aren't "creating" the trends per say. Also, my windows are quite hard to see in. You would really have to peek in to see anything. Maybe it's something when I am in public? Even then, the general harassment is very real. I just don't know how to explain all this. It's just too surreal.
