• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Before smart phones people had different problems.
While the access and speed information can move is good, it also tears out our souls. We are flooded with it. Every day we are hit with a thousand needles.
A cute animal picture cannot save us.

Before the Internet, the early dial-up bulletin boards were something I thought would bring me contact with like-minded people in other places. In some cases it seemed to, at first... but then I realized it really didn't. People can pretend to be anyone or anything even easier when they are not in front of you. Then came the Internet and more people were online... and it seems like at some point all the people who used to think it wasn't "cool" to be on computers suddenly wanted computers and phones and online forums and whatever... and then it was just filled with all the people everywhere who I wouldn't want to be with in real life either... and I found myself wanting to be with real people in real life... but nobody was around.

I agree with Rockman. I get pretty emotionally affected seeing people being cruel online as well, so I generally try to avoid social media. If you don't want to or find it difficult to quit completely, you can restrict your time spent there or only join spaces where you know the people are kinder. I hope you can feel a little better soon. ^^

People seem more animalistic than ever chasing highs so high that the lows are just as tall. It seems like the simple stuff are more substancial and true
