Sometimes, I go through phases where I'll get energetic and motivated to do things. Like for example, going out on adventures. I'll get happy for one or two weeks, maybe three if I'm lucky. Its fun and all of that, but after that free trial of normality is up, I'll get back into a slump where I can't do anything anymore. I'll just become a shut-in for the next how ever many months. It feels like these motivated periods are just getting less intense, and these tired periods are becoming more miserable and long. Hardly even feel like I have any say in what my brain does anymore.

If anybody has any advice or just wants to say their experience with something similar thats more then welcome 🙏

I'm not a medical professional but what you're describing sounds a little bit like mild bipolar type 2

I've put some research into it, I don't think my motivated periods are as intense as a hypomanic period but I'll definitely keep it in mind just in case 🤷‍♀️

I was going to say the same thing about this sounding like bipolar or manic depressive disorder. They don't have to be as intense as what you said, there's like 20 different forms of mental health disorders that involve varying periods of ups followed by downs, and they can be in all flavors of intensity and combinations and stuff. I mean i would really talk to like, any medical professional about this, that's my advice since you asked and all...

True true. That's probably a better thing for me to be doing then asking on the internet 🥲
I'm always scared I'll have a bad experience going to the doctors, but I should probably at least give it a try

Hey, the internet is great for getting support, which is important too 🙂 Maybe you could make a post over on the recovery forum? The folks over there might have some recommendations for doctors they've had good experiences with and could do remote sessions
