My method is SN and my primary concern is being found early. I will unfortunately be in the home with my family inside. My room shares a wall with one of my family members.

For the longest time, I've kept up a routine that starts at 10AM. They are used to me getting out of my room for the first time in the day around that time or even later. So my plan is to take it at night while everyone is asleep. No one will think to check on me until late in the morning or afternoon.

The one downside is that shared wall. I've watched videos of people following through with the SN method and the agonal breathing can get loud.

At the point when agonal breathing starts, the brain is severely deprived of oxygen and the person is unconscious. I'm uncertain whether it's even possible to recover when someone reaches that point (if found before dying and taken to the hospital).

I just don't want to be found too early and risk the noise waking/alerting the others.

My plan was to just stuff my mouth with fabric or something. Thoughts or any alternative ideas?

ive thought of putting a sleeping mask (or multiple) over my mouth for it but im not sure how much that would reduce the volume

I honestly have no idea how effective this would be. I've heard the mouth tape (what I'm assuming you're referring to) does help reduce open-mouth snoring, but your nose can still take in air and exhaling through the nose can cause your voice to come through. Snorting happens, too.

I actually didn't even consider that. I was completely unaware that was a factor. Thanks for addressing this and I hope you can figure out that part.

I mean, that mouth taping trend is pretty popular now, you could just do that. I know some people have succeeded with SN at home while their families slept, but I wouldn't consider it. If there is ANY chance to attempt at another location, imo that would be worth waiting for or whatever needs to be done to make that happen.

Yes it would be infinitely wiser to do wait until completely alone or go to another location

I don't think agonal breathing occurs if you take diazepam.
