• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

What time frame should these emails go out using N or SN? 12-24hours later?

I've always considered a day or two, maybe more.

Letters don't need to be delivered the minute you die but delaying them gives you a chance to delete them if the attempt fails - unless off course you were sadly incapacitated.

You could leave a brief printed letter saying for certain people to check their email at xx:xx time on dd/mm/yy then it could be weeks ahead.

Edit: and if Gmail isn't your usual email then list your Gmail address and tell them to check their spam folder on that day.

I would consider at least 24 hours, but likely more. Even a week later. The main reason being is that you don't know what's going to happen or if you'll change your mind.

What if you do change your mind, but the internet cuts out? If you set it for 12 hours later, you'll be scrambling trying to rescind the email(s). That's a ton of pressure, something I would want to avoid.

If you're found and set it for 24+ hrs later, at least it'll give you some time to try to sign in and rescind it even if getting out of the hospital will be difficult. I know this sounds silly, to try to take back the email(s) despite your friend or family member finding you, but maybe there are things in the email that you don't want them to know about when you're still alive. Or, maybe you sent it to a ton of people, and only a select few know about your attempt so you don't want the rest to find out.
