Thoughts on self immolation?

Self immolation?
I've thought for a long time about burning myself alive. The pain, the fear, discomfort. I've realized a lot that id unfortunately want my death to be extremely painful, and I feel that may be one of the better ways to cause that. Then again, a bigger risk of failing.

id rather not make it a spectacle but, i don't know. theres something so ironic about being put to flame and dying for your own sins and mistakes

You actually die weeks later in hospital typically from burning all your skin off. Unless you use gallons of gasoline like the Vietnam monks. Then it's suffocation that takes you out ironically. Most people who do that have some political statement to proclaim. It is intensely drawn out and perhaps one of the most painful methods. But a week later everyone will have forgotten and you'll only be remembered as one of the thousands of gore suicide videos on those cheap scare sites. The story will be forgotten and you'll join the 100 billion others that have died before.
Death is not really an adventure I think.

idk about that. For me I want it to be like instantaneous and assured. I have had serious burns once in my life. That was a bitch. Cold sweating and shit. And the burned area never healed fully. Again idk about that

That's pretty nihilistic, it's true but its not necessary, it's not like i really truly want to be remembered, i don't know,

I've thought about it but fear some busybody saving me and I'd end up living hideously disfigured

Even dealing with chronic pain, I cannot imagine self immolation, but against all odds I've seen people do it.

self-immolation can very easily go completely wrong; resulting in permanent disfigurement, suffering and global disability

I think it'd be too painful- that i'd go in shock before the nerve endings burn off and that i'd hurt someone accidentally
