i have bipolar myself and get hypomanic episodes

Hah, didn't expect to find anything about hypomania on this forum. I have bipolar disorder type 2 so I've experienced hypomania several times. It really isn't something you can die from. It's a period of elevated mood with inhibited social filters. Not anything lethal.

Hi, I also have BP2 and hypomania. Personally, I am most suicidal when I am depressed vs hypomanic (where I feel more energized and top of the world and like I can do anything) - but I think for some folks, especially with BP1, the flip from depression to mania or hypomania could reduce inhibition to increase chances of CTB, but hypomania itself doesn't usually lead to CTB ❤️‍🩹

Also BPAD2 here; gotta hit that mixed episode. That's the state with the highest risk of CtB.
