Perhaps this would fit better in the off-topic section maybe, but I spend a good part of my time thinking and reflecting on what awaits me after death, I'm not a very religious person, but still it's kind of interesting to think about and reflect on all the possibilities of what could have in afterlife. Every hour, every day, I wish I could die and disappear forever, without worrying anymore about the consequences of the stupid things I've done And without caring what I might lose or gain if I stayed alive. What are your thoughts and opinions on the afterlife?

i'm also not religious, but i came across r/mediums on reddit recently, i have not studied the belief yet but they have this spirit world after you die and you'll reincarnate.

for people who kill themselves, they will not be punished like what hell depicts. you'll be welcomed still by the higher being. instead, you'll be placed in this sort of "study-room" alone to reflect your actions.

personally, i don't buy it. we're a biological being. but nobody knows. if there is some sort of an afterlife, i'll take it. i have to be held accountable of my actions anyway.

There's probably nothing there, I can't fathom a way to perceive things without any senses.
Still, deep down I hope I can see my deseased dog (and meet my loved ones again when their time's due )

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know

I've seen countless animals and nsects dying or dead

there's no difference between an animal like a mouse or insect and me or any human . we all will die soon and cease to exist forever after. soon cause how fast did the last 5 years fly by,?

yeah we all will die soon but I can't go through even 10 seconds of the worst pain . the horror is that 5 minutes of the constant worst pain can seem to last for years

1 micro second after Death ( the brain dies) it will be as if none of us never existed in the first place just like the quadrillions of animals that suffered and died.

in 130 years every 1 of the 8 billion humans alive now will be dead obliterated for all time as if none ever existed

this becomes more obvious if one imagines 10,000 years from today

where are all those humans and animals then? they would have me believe they are somewhere suffering still where how why. what's the mechanism for which no one has ever showed any evidence or even hypothetical details

a trillion years from now ? no then there won't even be a trace the curse of DNA based life ever existed

the universe has always expanded and the expansion is accelerating. the universe will end in heat Death or in the big rip. the law of entropy is supreme

I just don't believe in such and I'd never wish for any kind of existence, to suffer in this existence will just always be the most terrible mistake that just causes all this harm and suffering with no limit as to how much one can be tortured.

I believe death to be the permanent relief from this, all I hope for is the peace of non-existence where finally I'm no longer burdened with this existence so torturous and cruel that never should had been imposed, I'll just always see it as an abomination to exist, I'll just always see this terrible, torturous existence as the problem no matter what.

it's honestly one of the things preventing me from CTBing right now because i'm really terrified that the afterlife is worse than life as it is now, because we literally don't know i feel

i'm wondering if there's any definitive proof on what the afterlife is

What about people who do horrible crimes do they go to a study room too?

It's always suicide that's talked about… like it's this super evil thing. But there's worse things in life that people can do.

i dont believe in the afterlife, but i believe in reincarnation-

so when u die theres nothing to perceive the time that has passed, so theres no gap between when u die and what is the next thing to be perceived because if theres nothing that perceives the time that passes then it didnt pass from ur perspective. whether thats human or animal or alien, i believe that you will be alive/percieving ur next life the split second after u die, but ofc u will forget everything cause its a completely new life. because if you can be YOU now and feel conscious, then whos to say u wont be YOU in the next life (like not you as a person/ur memory, but you as a conscious).

thats just how i see it, even though i would like a bit of a break from life, i just dont think thats what would logically happen.

I personally believe in reincarnation. As long as I have no memory of this horrid life, I'll be fine about becoming a new person
