Venting Thought it would get better at university

i hate it so much here. i transferred from a community college and i thought this would be a fresh start to make new friends, but everyone either already knows each other since they transferred together straight from hs, or have already formed their cliques by virtue of starting at the college instead of transferring. i've seen a few people from my community college, but all they all ignore me.

i dont understand why i'm so undesirable. maybe it's my curse? doesnt help that everyone here loves to party. is the only way to make friends to poison myself? there has to be other options. i want to drop out, but i think that would ruin my future.

Maybe dont drink booze but just soda in a cup? But ya the uni kids all seem rich drunks these days.
