Venting Those who blame people for suicide are truly disgusting

Many people blame those who commit suicide for choosing methods that cause trouble to others, but it is precisely the government's relentless efforts to restrict suicide that force people to resort to methods affecting others.

If the Govt allowed it they would be ambushed by religious people and 99% of families whose loved one chose the legal method. I mean, if the party wasn't physically ill with imminent death around the corner. Today I'd probably be one of those family members, if my healthy son were given govt approval. I understand the horrible pain of loss as well as the horrible pain of wanting to opt out.

it is such a double edged sword.
If I think about the impact from other people who have CTB I want to scream no! There's help. But then I think about the pain I feel and the anything I would give to have a moment of relief, it's so tricky. But truly after 25 years of fighting I think I deserve a break

It truly is, it's just the most horrific, terrible world where the suffering and torture of existing is seen as to force and prolong no matter what, making painless ways to cease existing inaccessible is such a horrific crime to me that only ever causes way more torture and suffering in this existence where there is no limit as to how much agony one can feel.

To me anti-suicide is just so evil, there's just so much terrible extreme cruelty in how humans are forced to suffer in this existence left with no other option but to resort to such horrible brutal ways to cease existing, it's just horrific how these people want others to be tortured as long as possible in this existence I just always saw as a mistake that never should had been imposed.

Clinics like Pegasos are now insisting that families are notified prior to their loved one's assisted suicide- I believe.

You'd no doubt still get parents protesting it. Some even taking their children to court- as we've seen. But then, it would also open up dialogue around the tricky subject of suicide. If it were government approved, people may gradually start to adjust their views- that it is a choice people should have the right to make.

It may even save some people. Many are so afraid to reveal how they feel because of the heavy handedness of the response. Being carted off to psyche wards etc. If people actually felt free to express how they felt when they began to struggle, perhaps they could be given help sooner.

As it stands, the whole thing is taboo and pushed underground- which I don't think helps anyone.
