Venting those fucking suicide prevention posts

"you are loved" "you matter" "you're beautiful" "it will get better"

i really fucking hate this type of shit because all of it is for people who are mildly depressed at most. for most suicidal all of those are completely meaningless and are just straight up not true. i am not loved. i don't matter. i am not beautiful. it will not get better for me. i wouldnt be depressed and trying to kill myself otherwise. it frankly just makes me want to kill myself even more. especially with how ironic it would be.

me too. and when i tell these people that "actually it's not going to get better for me, because my problems are permanent" then they call me mean and they'll me that I actually want to suffer. really shows how much they care about suicidal people. can these people just for 1 second listen to the people they're "advocating" for?

sometimes i see people saying it helped them in the comments, so i guess it helps someone, but it can feel so weird to see those things when you know they arent true for you. and like what you said, so many people who try and do these things saying they want to help wont actually listen if you tell them how you really feel. im glad they help someone but i wish they had more empathy and care for those who arent helped by just the post. if they really want to help i wish they would listen instead of saying that im not trying just because im still struggling.

i just can't glean anything from generic statements like this that are directed at no one in particular. it'd be different if some i cared about told me these things, but such broad posts don't make me feel better
