Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Tipping a server at a restaurant, what's a normal starting tip % to you?

I hate being expected to tip. Much prefer the upfront costs of eating out in non-tipping nations. but here in the bad old usa, maybe 10% for takeout. 15% for sit down. 20% if it is a place you will patronize regularly. (In my youth, 10% was the typical sit down tip. Don'tknow haw that changed.)

With the age of 27 I learned that the usual tip is 10% in my country. I had to google it. My dad was always so stingy. I gave random tips beforehand. I barely Was alone in restaurants.

I rarely go out to eat now. It used to be 10% in the UK ages ago. I tend to tip delivery drivers a standard pound on food deliveries if I can do it through the App. Not physical money since covid though. Pretty stingy I know but comparatively- for the hours they work compared to me, I'd bet they are better paid! That's mostly my fault for being freelance and not being the fastest worker or having the best business head. However, it's kind of weird that some jobs demand tips while others don't. I don't tip other delivery drivers. It's weird really, when it's the same sort of job. On principle though- it's bad really. Employers should pay their staff properly. Not expect customers to make up the deficit- on top of a likely very overpriced meal.
