In the news recently there have been some death row executions using nitrogen gas. Onookers claim it was barbaric saying the inmates didn't die right away. It just made me rethink this method when I read this.

there's a good Exit podcast episode about this "what I wish I told kenny" — any struggle is due to oxygen leaking in due to death row using a mask vs a bag add in facial hair on some which messes with the seal. and therefore prolonging what should only take a few seconds.

Interesting, I'll check out the episode. So a bag is better than a mask? What was the mask they used? It wasn't a scba was it?

Grateful for all the info and methods being shared, and as @Myforevercharlie said, dying in general is not painless. If the pain of being alive outweighs the pain of SN, I'm not complaining.
