Not exactly them dying or wishing that for them or anything bad (RIP to them.) But more so envious of how they died. All reports say their death was instant and no bodies left, just made into dust. So much pressure from all sides it imploded and crushed them. I wish it was me and there was a way i could get that deep in the ocean and die by implosion.

If I'm honest- I thought that first too. Cruel as it may sound. Even for them though- with the situation as it was being described- an instant death sounded better than waiting in a dark, cramped, cold tube to run out of oxygen. Obviously- an instant death full stop sounds ideal to all of us.

Still- I'm not so sure it was as simple as all that. I think James Cameron (Titanic film director and expert on submersibles) was saying that he and members of their community thought it sounded like the sub had dropped its ballast weights and was attempting to resurface. The sub was apparently equipt with microphones listening for any problems in the hull. So- I guess there's a possibility alarms were sounding- they may have even heard cracking noises before it happened. Let's just hope it wasn't long before. But yeah- OBVIOUSLY criticism is flying in- like- what's the point in a warning system when it's obviously too late to do anything about it?

I do feel awful for them and their families being given what turned out to be false hope.

To be fair i dont think they suffered in life since they were literal billionaires which is basically the best life a human can get here on Earth but I understand the general sentiment for most people.

That is the most expensive ctb method in the world. Submarine implosion method. But an explosion is not so impossible if you get some explosives.

idk man id prefer an implosion, basically no parts left behind just paste and its literally impossible to survive and be left deformed, theres explosion survivors and those who die sometimes can suffer a bit, i seen videso especially in Ukraine/Russian war also its not pretty with parts left all over and guts etc.

But as you say of course its way too difficult for the common man to achieve implosion death. Idk i did hear sometimes ship workers had some implosions too , saw a video of a deck hand get imploded in the bottom of a ship or something like that.
supposedly they died before their brains could even register that they were going to - true peace in death.
yep i saw that too, something like in milliseconds and too fast for the brain to register.

I see absolutely no reason to be sad either way for the people on that submarine.

1. They were billionaires = they lived life to the fullest possible a human being currently can and got to experience whatever they wanted, free of any worries and stress us normal plebs have. I really cant empathize or have any shred of sympathy for billionaires to begin with. (Plus you dont get to have that much wealth by being a kind hearted person, but thats another discussion)
2. They died instantly
3. They signed whatever documents they had to sign to get on board

Idk, maybe Im cold or evil I just see no reason to be sad over that.

I agree but the kid was only 19 , he barely was out of high school and basically in first year university probably. Also the main thing was he didnt wana go, all reports said he was afraid and did it just to make his dad happy. 19 is way too young to even experience life a bit, just 1 year as a young adult. No its sad for him.

Considering their poor decision-making skills I don't think they were mentally capable of living life to the fullest possible. I have zero jealousy of their wealth, I'd rather have lived my life than their life before I became stricken with degenerative disease.

My illness will progress until I ctb so I am envious of people that manage to die in various ways but given the chance to die in this manner I'd probably skip it and wait for another opportunity. This is 9/11-level nightmare material IMO.

Apparently, they had to sign a waiver in the event of their deaths so that the company wouldn't have to fork out compensation to their families.

Yes, agree. Probably none of them wanted to die while most of us here don't have a greater wish but to die peacefully.

Yeah, earlier today I read that it seems they knew they were in trouble before the implosion. I would not want to have even a moment of absolute terror before dying. I'd rather have pain and be prepared for what's happening.

Even so, they are lucky to have died quickly and that they were not sitting on the ocean floor for days running out of oxygen, as was originally suggested.

Yes. I wish it was me. I would trade my miserable life to anyone that wished to stay. Its sad that they left if they did wanted to live, but life and death are unfair. Those who don't want leave early, us that claim for death, it just takes forever

Yeah- it sounds very distressing to me. Especially for that poor kid. It's got to be horrendous for the families as well seeing the internet discuss how their loved ones may have died. I hope they just avoid it as much as possible. Some of the reports shock me and I'm not involved. Still- we do seem to have this gory fascination as a species. But yeah- I just hope they didn't have too long to register what was happening.

You couldn't ask for a better death imo. Literally there one moment, gone the next. It would've happened so fast that they wouldn't have had time to register.

Certainly doesn't sound either stupid or wrong to me. I would happily change places with any of them in a heartbeat were I clear of my domestic responsibilities.
Instant oblivion, no fear of being left maimed or disabled … for a suicidal person, what's not to like.

to be honest, I personally don't fell sorry for them. They had a death wish form the start of their adventure. I mean, who in the right mind pays that much to explore titanic and all of this in a improvised drainage pipe u-boat that's controlled with a battery powered bluetooth Logitech controller XD
If this wasn't a underwater suicide trip then they deserve a Darvin award

I'm sorry the passengers of the submarine died in such a tragic way but ever since I've seen all the submarine memes on TikTok I just can't stop laughing about it.
I'll go to hell for it.

That trip is exactly the kind of thing I'd blow my money on if I were a billionaire. First, there would be that hope in the back of my mind that I wouldn't come back. But I also think diving down to Titanic would be a legitimately cool experience, so if I did come back at least I had a good day. All upside and the "risks" are nothing more than potential bonuses.
