The problem is the "lawyers" got involved. Everyone is "sue happy" in this day and age. It's, basically, the same reason why schools cancel classes if there is a flake of snow outside. When I was a kid, I remember very clearly walking to school in blizzard-like conditions, or even in pelting rain and hail storms. It's not like that anymore.
It doesn't make any sense in regard to psychiatric treatment, does it? The world we live in has become just plain stupid. It's just where we are now.
