I don't think David Icke is apart of any organized religion, he has a decentralized following. His views are pretty personal, and not really based on hard facts. Nonetheless, they are pretty interesting to think about. A lot of it borrows from Gnostic ideas. I might watch one or two of his videos.

Yeah he's a notorious one i see him on twitter all the time 😭
Yeah, he's definitely a nutter. I think he's been banned from several countries. Nonetheless, we can even learn a thing or two from nuts. Like i said, none of his ideas are based on cold hard facts, but it's definitely interesting in my opinion.

Tbh I've looked into various religions and spiritual traditions, watched dozens of near death experience accounts, had a profound experience with a psychic medium, listened to scientists and physicists talking about their current views on consciousness and the universe, and I still think anything is possible in terms of whether there's an afterlife or reincarnation or nothingness. And it doesn't change my mind on whether or not I want to stay on this Earth because I just want the suffering to end.

Yeah, no one really knows what's going on. Anyone who says they do is trying to sell you something.

Truthfully, I don't really want to watch an hour of it so, I Googled it. Not sure if this is correct but it summarized his beliefs as:

Earth being a prison planet controlled by lizard people who feed off our emotions and 'fool' our souls into returning to earth- rather than joining the infinite awareness- where we belong. To avoid this reincarnation loop- we must avoid going towards the light- people often report seeing in NDE's. So- think mole- not moth everyone and, maybe we'll escape.

A few questions though- are we personally aware of entering this 'infinite awareness' if we manage to evade the lizard people's trap? Is that some blissful alternative or- is it simply nothing? Which of course- seems preferable to me seeing as I don't want to be reincarnated here. But still- seeing as our memories are wiped when we do return here- ultimately, I doubt it will make much difference to 'me'. 'Me' will be gone either way.

Either a water droplet returning to the ocean. Although there again- why? Why does a huge, possibly immortal spiritual being need to experience shitty mortal existence? What practical knowledge can knowing how to boil an egg, see a rainbow, hear music mean to a spiritual being that presumably has no need of anything?

So- whoever is in charge- the great spiritual entity that decided to split itself into billions of pieces or the lizard people who enslaved us- it all seems monumentally pointless to me. Seeing as it won't be 'me' who experiences either I imagine too- will it make all that much difference?

Of course, I don't like the idea of being enslaved to a giant lizard but then- we're enslaved in all scenarios except nothingness and the option to choose it. Heaven can't even be a free kingdom if we have no choice but to enter it. (If we qualify even.) The Gods (if there are/ is one) and our parents already enslaved us.

It also seems too easy really to just avoid a light in order to avoid a reincarnated life but, who knows? Who's brave enough to do it though? I suspect I'd choose to go towards light over darkness. I also vaguely recall a member talking about an overhead grid with light shining through and- not to go towards that.

But then, why would a species smart enough to trap us in the first place give us a choice at the end?

Also, how does David Icke account for the steady increase in population over the years? Where did all those new souls come from? Other prison planets?

As of 2024, there are roughly 146 million births per year compared to roughly 58 million deaths.

I used to believe in God angles heaven and an afterlife. Then I died for five minutes and was brought back to life. now I believe in nothing. No God no angles no devil no heaven or hell and damn sure no lizard people. When i die, nothing simply nothing. I won't even know I'm dead.

Great post, you really asked the right questions. I guess an explanation for the increase in population could be, the great eternal being splitting itself into another piece. That's the only thing i can think of, just another drop of the great eternal ocean being trapped in a human body,

That's a good point. It's such a mind f*ck though really. Do the Lizard people have control of this great eternal being too I wonder. Is it like a battery farm scenario?

The other question is whether these Lizard people created us- as battery farm animals or whether they happened upon us and enslaved us. Maybe they enslaved the great eternal being first.

What about the dinosaurs though? Did the great eternal being fragment itself into them first? Are all living things part of this original creature?

You'd still hope there would be some sort of motive for this creature to fragment itself in the first place. I wonder what that could even be. Boredom? It fancied creating a creature that created Netflix or something.

I don't know. It all sounds very far fetched to me but then, religion does too. So does the big bang theory and all that resulted. It's all crazy one way or another!

Something to note is that "lizard people" has historically had connections to a lot of old antisemitic conspiracy theories. So adding that context to this and ackoleeding the weird Christian undertones, it kinda tells you where this guy's head was at lmao

Yeah, all these theories have holes and unanswered questions. That's why i see them as interesting, but ultimately don't accept any of them.

Yep, that's the big problem with Ickes theory. How did these evil lizard beings (demiurge in Gnostic tradition) manage to enslave or trap souls (sparks in Gnostic tradition) from the all powerful aware consciousness or god deity. It makes no sense. David Icke might realize this if he shut his trap, and used his brain for a second.

That seems like the problem with all Gods really. They're either not powerful enough, unaware, too complacent or complicit to obstruct the 'evil' things going on or the 'evil' beings behind them. Which makes me question how powerful, perfect or even moral they are. Unless they have a bigger and utterly mind blowing plan in progress that no one can envisage or understand.
