À few weeks ago I found out that I have a fungal infection on my hair and I was thinking that by killing myself I would save others because the infection is contagious. Before this I've been in many situations where I thought that suicide was the best option. Any advice?

This sounds like something that can be treated with a course of anti-fungal shampoo. Did your doctor not prescribe any after diagnosing you?

It sounds like a bit of OCD? I hope I'm not overstepping the mark by saying that but I had a friend once who worried about similar things. Maybe speak to your pharmacist about the hair and your doctor about potential OCD? It can represent itself as fear of contaminating others. It's really hard to deal with so I wish you well. Take care.

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling that way and that it's brought you here, but as others have said this sounds eminently treatable and like something you can recover from quickly and easily.

Lol I get it. I had ringworm for months, I genuinely considered killing myself to make it stop and to not have it spread. Antifungal shampoo should work for you, but make sure you talk to a doctor and get a strong prescription to be 100% sure you kill it off. Please be stronger than some bitch ass fungus dude. Don't let some fungus be the reason you die, good luck.

Surely this is a wind up?

If not, then the obvious question is would you still want to kill yourself if the fungal infection was treated and resolved?

If so, then go get it treated. Job done.

First get it treated, it is something that can be treated easily. Then decide for yourself if you still think suicide is the best option for you.

There are several types of fungal infection that can affect the scalp. Some can be treated just by using an anti-fungal shampoo that you can buy at a pharmacy. If that doesn't work, see your doctor who will be able to prescribe something more powerful. Some kinds of fungal infection are difficult to treat, but treatment works eventually.
This isn't something to ctb over.
