Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

another one happened earlier in july. it was a self-immolation by gasoline and fire.
the college is very competitive + high pressure. lots of pre-med students. and there's a large student body there's probs a CTB happening at least once every year.

we talk alot about not wanting to CTB publically. out of fear of traumatizing others, the state of your body, etc.
i can't imagine how much pain and suffering this person had been going through to commit to hanging on a tree right in full view during the daytime with prospective students and parents around. admin sent out a typical email to minimize suicide contagion. i hate how unis will do that but do nothing to improve their mental health services.

my-coworker at my pt brought it up. it was the first time i had a conversation about CTB with normies and surprisingly it was a honest frank exchange. about how life/depression sucks. how they didn't judge the person for CTB-ing.

it was a beautiful day today. blue skies and sunny.
i hope they didn't suffer and it was fast.

life is a fucking joke.

I am very sorry that people are driven to this point.
Universities are negligent regarding the mental health of their staff and students.

horrific and very saddening. i hope it was quick for their sake. i can only imagine how stressed they were to kill themselves in the middle of the day. i had to drop out of my community college because i couldn't handle how i always felt like a failure and all my work was shit. i imagined myself being one of the students that would die in the middle of the semester. student counselors can't help past a certain point for chronically depressed/actively suicidal students.

My first university was a small one. So much so that whenever a student died, it didn't matter if they belonged to our department/faculty or not, we would receive an obituary via email. We did lose a student within our department on one occasion also.

Up until recently I was studying at a much larger university (I'm being kicked off the course due to my health and also due to autism-related matters), and the university website mentions that suicide is a huge problem amongst its students and has campaigns around speaking up and not suffering in silence… but you never hear much about those students, and certainly not via email. I've seen the ambulance pull up outside my tower block more times than I can count.
