Discussion There isn't enough old people on SS

According to the last survey, 50% of people on SS are under 25, 50% are over 25
Let's remember that gen Z was approximately born between 2000-2020
And millennials were approximately born between 1980-2000

So we could say that approximately 90% of the members on SS are under 40.
Which is logical, since millennials and gen Z are far less religious than gen X and boomers
And they use the internet far more than Gen X and boomers

Surprisingly, I'd like to have 50% of people on SS over 50 (so Gen X and boomers)
I'd like them to be like Walter, compassionate, really pro-choice and all.

Like that, this website wouldn't be attacked all the time by the media which depicts us as child murderers.
Maybe in 20 years, Gen Z will be 40, millennials will be 60 and Gen x will be 80, then perhaps people will be more likely to accept the right to die.

I look forward to seeing the next survey, and I hope there will be more gen X and boomers, even though I'm really sorry life made them visit this site

Maybe in 20 years, Gen Z will be 40, millennials will be 60 and Gen x will be 80, then perhaps people will be more likely to accept the right to die.

(this is going to sound really dark, just a warning) so, we just wait for the people causing problems to die out and teach the new generation to be nicer? (in this case more understanding that life sometimes sucks)

Old people probably can't find the forum. When I was young I had the mental energy to navigate the net, as life wears you down you don't.
Its probably shadow banned everywhere especially since the computer power increased hundred fold in 2020
People think it's a joke when I say they can give you a colonoscopy from the satellites even if you haven't took the nano bot technologies (I mean vaccines).

For people age from 40-60 they tend to have children so they bear the responsibility and cant just abandon them and ctb, its also going to damage the childrens lives.
Although some still do but its more complex. Unless the children already being adult& independent and dont have issues with the parent ctb.

For 'children' with no responsibility(no child) they have more right to take their life/exit since they dont asked to be born in the first place.

and teenage to middle age tend to have more 'free spirit'

Gen X ends at 1980, 1981 next gen. Not that any of this matters. Not sure how long gens work but Gen X won't be 80 in 20 years I don't think.

Super random assumptions. 70+ in general is not weak or close to it. People are living in their 90's more and more. Many folks don't have kids. You're really putting out a lot of generalizations. "Free spirit" Ummmm what?

How many users did take the survey and how can we ensure it wasn't biased by being answered by more young users?

But that's probably not much far from reality, because we need to consider the internet demographics, and there are much more younger users.

Another factor at play is the fact that the site is mostly in english and users from non english-speaking countries who can read and write in english are more likely to be younger, because they had access to better education, especially in poorer countries, and grew up in a more globalized world, having much more contact with the english language.

speaking personally i can say that: lack of job opportunities (even absolutely soul destroying minimum wage work), further divided sects of society, impeding environmental disaster, social isolation via social media use, covid 19 destroying the global economy/job market further and a increasingly brazen and outright showing corruption of leadership is very much contributing to this.
Unique mental features of gen z are just starting to present themselves and its no wonder we are quickly becoming a unstable generation with high suicide rates, anyone sensitive, intelligent and otherwise empathetic is basically getting thrown into a meat grinder of cruelty and uncertainty.
its enough to drive any rational person over the edge.

oh yeah definitely, i didn't mean to make claims that one particular generation has it worse over others, everyone has challenges, its just the changing nature of these challenges themselves which annoys me i guess. Plus i feel there is a disconnect between gen z and some older members of society in just not understanding how bad things really are that perplexes them as to why more younger people are choosing to ctb.
