The world feels so weird

Everytime I go out in the real world it feels so fake and unreal like we are in a simulation. Everybody just seems like big dumb Apes with exception of a small percentage of people being more evolved wise Apes. Its just weird how most people are ok with all the suffering and work in this world and dont think anything of it by bringing more Apes into this world to suffer and be wage slaves or be disabled. Im becoming such a Nihilist

Agreed. I try not to look at the so-called news, because it all seems like a poorly written reality TV show. And I'm often stunned at the stupid things people talk about and waste their time and money on, like it's so super important to them. None of it makes sense.

I just was saying the other day that we aren't an advanced civilization. An ape holding a cell phone is still an ape. Gadgets don't make for an advanced civilization, refined culture does. In our age there's an inverse relationship between technological progress and cultural degradation. Even the nobility is twerking in crude displays of proto-human mating ritual. It's very weird.

Same. I try to find the beauty and hope in spiritual paths, but every time I attempt to get lost in the "poetry" of it, I'm hit with the cruel nature of reality/humanity.

And I guess maybe even the cruelty, filth, and harshness is a part of it all, but... I'm just exhausted with never getting to experience anything good anymore.

Yes this place does feel like a simulation - honestly, I subscribe to that notion (holographic universe).

But it's also so heart-breaking because I know that humanity has the potential to transcend our lower nature, but we refuse.

Yes, great documentary for our times ;) I also recommend Branded (2012). Though it's a different sort of plot it approaches some of the same topics from another angle.

when you are exposed to something constantly you grow numb to it, theres constant suffering everywhere and its just so pointless to even try to say anything about it because it doesnt do anything, like look at all the people on twitter saying "free this" "free that" but it doesnt do anything its just empty words so they can say they are doing something good, the fact north korea even still exists and noone really talks about it that much outside of jokes says enough as is, the only time people even bother mentioning some war or dictatorship is so they can call themselves a good person because they want it to stop

to be honest i used to think the same but at this point what does it even mean to transcend our lower nature? even if the world was a lovely perfect utopia youd still have plenty of miserable people wanting to off themselves or just take it out on others, i mean even here there are people with perfect lives, no struggles, no issues, doesnt change how miserable they are, you cant really transced the human brain
