Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I'll be going to NYC later this month. Is the vessel even worth attempting to jump anymore or are the safety measures in place by-passable? I haven't seen any recent photos. I've heard about 4 ppl jumped from there with success.
Would not go to NYC to ctb. Unless you want your corpse violated by homeless drug addicts and then eaten by rats. Not that it will matter since you'll be gone but still.
The Vessel is permanently closed to visitors because people kept throwing themselves off of it to ctb. It was my method of choice a few years ago (I'm a NYC native) and that's when I learned. There's also constant patrols of social workers/police (depending on the time of day) and it's blocked off with a gate at this point I think. There's something about a tall, open monument in the most soulless, depressing part of our little capitalist hellscape that makes people drawn to it, who knew?

Used to live there, it's my favorite place to be tbh. Dying in front of a ton of happy ppl to piss them off would make my day lol, don't really care how sinister that is.

Yeah that sucks, maybe I can attend one of their running clubs they have at the vessel now and just kinda "oops fell over". Idk. Just imagining things now. But thank you for letting me know.

Actually, quick update: apparently it opened again in October of last year! There are, of course, constant police and barriers, along with all the "don't do it!" Signs. I highly encourage anything but, however it is, at least partially, reopened.
