Here in the U.S., they complain about homeless, the addicted, the poor, etc yet there is no real help. The same people cry foul over abortion and assisted suicide. It makes no sense. I mean wouldn't they be glad if a homeless person was offered MAID? There would be one fewer person on the planet that "offends" them.

Also. most women having abortions can't afford a child or are in some other dire predicament like addiction, abuse, etc. Why bring more kids into the world when the odds are against them? How does this benefit society when society hates the poor?

No, it is not religion. Because if they were truly practicing christianity, then they would be helping the people they complain about rather than voting for a dictator whose policies punish the poor and make more people poor.

I agree, but I, and many of the suicidal people I know, are neets, who don't even make anything for the system. And there are thousands of immigrants who accept being exploited, unlike us, who are being deported and treated like shit. I don't get it. And furthermore, if we can't kill ourselves, we'll turn into beggars and starve to death, we'll die anyway, why do they want us to starve to death, in the most humiliating way possible, instead of letting us buy a gun, pay for assisted suicide or even SN? It's humiliating! It's irrational! I hate the ruling class and their hypocrisy!

People only parrot the ideology of the ruling class, they're not dumb per se, they've been made fools of in order to serve vested interests. In this case, as I mentioned above, it's in the interests of the ruling class that people don't have the right to kill themselves, we don't even have the right to control our own lives, but they, through the state apparatus, the police and the army, can kill whoever they want! I hate this reality, I wish I had never been born!

If suicide was normalized, even people who are more productive to society would consider it, thus lowering the work force. The ones in power want us alive not because we're useful, but because we're less damaging to them alive than if we suicide. Besides, if eventually they get a way to profit off our deaths, they would have a standing army of people willing to make them richer just to die.

And of course, there's always the possibility that slavery per se comes back, and that means we'll have no choice but to obey and work, or suffer further.

Unfortunately this has been a constant and serious problem since the beginning of human civilization.

1. People who are a part of your tribe or society have serious issues.
2. The ruling powers ignore these issues.
3. People become distressed because their issues are being ignored; they either rebel, or try to leave society.
4. The ruling powers shut down any reasonable dissent, and make it worse. Restart at the first stage.

Mitigating the symptoms of a sickness is always good, but it is even better to stop the root cause.
