I think it's ridiculous to even watch this kind of content. It's a complete waste of time and nothing is gained except maybe "cool facts" about statistics and small data points. No one except maybe a handful of people are qualified to understand the vast amount of information, corruption, and politics to make an informed decision. The idea that everyone has the same voting power is actually ridiculous and hilarious. 90 year old men run everything, your votes don't matter, and your opinion won't matter.

And even if you spend this entire new year trying to change peoples' minds (really applying yourself), you could maybe realistically change 150~ people to your side. It's insignificant and a waste of time on the grand scheme of things. We live in the most interesting time in human history and have a front row seat. Milk any enjoyment you find and stay focused on things that don't stress you and make you happy. Basically enjoy the ride or leave.

Trans/nonbinary people are by far the most marginalized group at the moment. There is no significant push by anyone to force kids into becoming that. Jordan Peterson is part of the right wing pipeline and he fully knows that there's a lot of money in being a conservative media figure. I'm tired of people hyperfocusing on manufactured outrage and trying to tie gender identity and mental illnesses together. Speaking as someone who confused my body dysmorphia with gender dysphoria at a young age, I think being taught about gender identity would have saved me years of confusion. The reason for the rise in trans people is simply because that's the demographic that we are currently focusing on. It was gay people before, now it's trans people. Mental health issues have a lot more to do with socio-economic conditions (which are steadily getting worse). If someone is trying to blame things onto a small marginalized group, that's your cue to ignore what that person is saying.
