Sorry you fell off the wagon. I hope you don't let it get as bad this time.

I have the same thing. I drank a shit ton of liquor everyday for a few years straight and not even 1 tremble when I stopped cold.
In some ways, being drunk permanently and stopping at once is better for your brain. Binge cycles are worse, because the withdrawals can get stronger with each cycle (kindling effect).

Sometimes Ill wake at 9 and start other times i start now, though the 9am one's haven't happened since lockdown
I wonder how many addicts will OD or drain their bank account during this lockdown. I've been using this time to get incredibly trashed on anything and everything.

Stopping at once can kill you or put you in the ER though. Especially after such a prolonged bender.

I can vouch for that. Doesn't do you any favours in the long run. You think you are getting away with it, but you aren't. Shame, I'd love a beer or six.
Exactly, that's the difference between an alcoholic and normal people. Although right now I seem to have it somewhat under control. Need to stay vigilant, I've set myself a hard limit of 1L normal strength beer a night.

oh yes, of course. I meant doing one withdrawal in a lifetime vs doing several of them. Always taper, I've tapered too slow the last time and had problems for more than half a year.

the first part, I am prioritising my mini ferals, drink comes last, BUT having recently been accepted for my first ever card Im screwed :pfff:
Also all I am seeing on my news feed are people joking about drinking loads and becoming alcoholics in this time, these statuses actually piss me off, I wish I had the mindset and words to fight back to them!

I have heard loads about people ending up in hospital after, at what point can that happen, do you have to be drinking for years? drinking too much in a short space of time?
Only time its landed me in hospital was april 2nd 2019, drank to much, whited out, (yes white not black) before trying to walk to a bridge, don't remember it, was so ill I was in hospital then sectioned for 18 hours.

theres alcoholic and then there's functioning alcoholic then there is normal people, I jump between the 3 if that is even possible

There is no set limit for something like that. It really depends on the person and type of alcohol. Liquor hits you quicker in more then just the buzz though heh. Typically once you start getting the shakes you're in a bad and potentially dangerous way.

That's just acute poisoning though. Chronic damage occurs insidiously over many years. You may get a warning from your liver in terms of pain, but often by the time the damage is done to various bodily organs it's too late.

That's exactly what I thought, most of my life. Then it hit me like a truck. My physical issues due to alcoholism are what led me here. The inability to defecate and having to urinate every half hour, coupled with next to no sleep for months... if I could go back and never drink again, I would, in a flash. Not preaching here, each to their own, but I do feel duty bound to describe my experience. And I fell of the wagon last week, so yeah, I still feel the pull. Always will.

I get that error every once in a while. Not today though.

Alcohol is actually my preferred method if I do CTB. Well 2M2B is anyways, it's still a form of alcohol though.

Alcohol gave me a neurological disease so I can partially relate. I'm still living my life in the fast lane though. The copious amounts of drugs will probably do me in first.

Part of me is tempted to just go for it, I guess that's the struggle we all face. I have peripheral neuropathy too, though it comes and goes.

Yes, sometimes. Had issues uploading pictures and the drop down menu on profiles for seeing posts by the person isn't working.

I'm actually trying to view my own profile....

I woke up with Transverse Myelitis one day. Half of my body was paralyzed and I couldn't walk. They said if it would've attacked one disc higher it would've paralyzed my chest and I would've suffocated in my sleep.

It took me a year to recover and learn to walk again. I still have a slight bit of paraesthesia left over.

Never give up guys, you can still achieve great things. Beat this woman in triathlon for example:

thats my size, I can barely walk up a hill... respect to her
Well at least you are sensible enough not to damage yourself by running a triathlon at that size. That was from a fat-acceptance article. Pretty stupid to encourage something like this, she will ruin her joints in no time.

Funny thing, to avoid doing something, I did something else, that almost caused the same thing as what I was trying to avoid.... and also caused another problem lol. Oops.

Oh well....

Side thing, I do need to lose weight... I'm hoping I do as I've been unintentionally just not eating as much overall. Then 'maybe' I can get back to walking/running like I like doing without hurting myself.

I know what you mean. I miss running more than anything. It was such freedom... music in my ears... the trees... the smells...

I've gotten to where you are already, and I'm not even out of college yet :hihi:

I'm almost 22. I flip between feeling like I've lived a 100 years and like I'm 5. The first is probably due to an overactive brain, the second might be due to me having holes in my memory. One of them being my second year of college.

I figured you were around that age. Not a bad age honestly. I feel you on the feeling like your 5 sometimes hehe.

I've had some major life changing events happen roughly every 10 years. I think that's why it feels like I'm on my third or fourth life.

I've had a couple of people on here think I'm way younger than I am. Guess it must be the juvenile sense of humour.
