Interesting that you are talking about milk persons. Seems they are coming back since the CoVid-19 pandemic. When i grew up we had a small little door on the side of the house that the milk and eggs could be dropped off in. This was like about 1.5 x 1.5 feet in diameter. Back then we didn't have to worry much about people stealing it either,

My first job was on a farm out the back of my house as a labourer. Used to bail hay sometimes. Put me off Shredded Wheat for life.

Ooo we never had one of those. We had a coal shute though, and later a coal place and a wash house. Defunct before my time ofc. Now I'm getting homesick again.

It's small and digital so not that old. Has a keypad and a key lock. Wall mounted.

I wouldn't camp now. Id want a b&b. Though camping was half the fun. You know, booze, drugs and sex woohoo!
Last dig I was on we built a shower block out of reclaimed timber and solar showers.
Before that I'd just strip off in the field and use a bucket of water.
That proved to be an interesting experience for the local rambling group. At least I had my hat to cover my...er...retreat.
