Interesting that you are talking about milk persons. Seems they are coming back since the CoVid-19 pandemic. When i grew up we had a small little door on the side of the house that the milk and eggs could be dropped off in. This was like about 1.5 x 1.5 feet in diameter. Back then we didn't have to worry much about people stealing it either,

Now you're telling all the good stories. I never drove a tractor. I made haystacks - hard work it was - and "drove" wheelsbarrows, though.
My first job was on a farm out the back of my house as a labourer. Used to bail hay sometimes. Put me off Shredded Wheat for life.
Lol I'd already been trespassing on his land for years. Did afterwards too, he didn't mind.

Ooo we never had one of those. We had a coal shute though, and later a coal place and a wash house. Defunct before my time ofc. Now I'm getting homesick again.

Is that what it's called in English? To bail hay? I was wondering.

In other news...you'll never guess what I found under the stairs today. Clue: it's not dangerous.

A green bug? A little cat? A spider? Nettles? A ladybug? A flower? An old cup? A sock? A mouse?
A coin?
The remains of a Roman well?

GPE wins! A safe!
Weird thing is... it appears to be battery operated with the batteries on the inside. Isn't that...er...stupid?

GDF is the type of person you want on your team for Pub Quiz.
@Underscore

What do you hope to find inside the safe?

No.
Bad Underscore.
It's empty.
It's a digital code.
But it takes batteries and they are on the inside. What happens when the batteries run out?
An I missing something?

I wouldn't be surprized if GPF could pick a safe. She seems to have many tricks up her sleeve.

Earlier today I watched an episode of Murder, she wrote. I just love that show - I wish the world was that simple.

No idea. How big is it? How old is it?
It's small and digital so not that old. Has a keypad and a key lock. Wall mounted.
What if the batteries run out when it's locked? I need to find a make and model and look it up.
Oh Btw I found my tent.
Schröedinger's baby!
Lol I have a safe baby in wall mounted superposition.
You can quote me on that.

Only if the tent had a portapotty in it! I used to camp a lot, can't ever see it happening again.

I wouldn't camp now. Id want a b&b. Though camping was half the fun. You know, booze, drugs and sex woohoo!
Last dig I was on we built a shower block out of reclaimed timber and solar showers.
Before that I'd just strip off in the field and use a bucket of water.
That proved to be an interesting experience for the local rambling group. At least I had my hat to cover my...er...retreat. :shy:
