yess, it was my favorite color as a child everythint had to be pink haha

Last night, I was driving home as the sun set and it was beautiful. Mostly orange, but with whisps of pink. The sun was low enough that half the sky was already a dark greyish-blue. It's the type of sunset I noticed only happens during late summer to mid fall.

Looking at the orange-pinks, it felt like a calling, and morphing into the murky darkness felt like an omen. It was beckoning me to join it. It made my resolve to catch the bus stronger. To become another cloud in the sky, another star in the universe. It felt so daunting, yet so freeing. I felt impossibly small under the sky's watchful gaze, but it didn't bring about anything negative in me. Only hope in the knowledge I'll go home soon.
