Ok, So I have a chronic illness that makes my life miserable, but the reason I'm not going to CTB is because there isn't a "safe" method available. Every method has a chance of going wrong and then you may have to live with a serious injury, and I already have a chronic illness. Even SN, people talk like it's easy and gentle, but I've seen videos and it's actually very violent. If I had a suicide button, I would press it, but that's not the case

this was my initial concern regarding carbon monoxide, but looking into it if the environment is sealed no leakage and the ppm concentration is very high then it will be reliable.

I really understand and I'm also trapped in this cruel, torturous existence for the same reason, I find it terrifying how trying to cease existing can go wrong and lead to way worse suffering and torture as a result, I find it horrific how there is no limit as to how much agony one can feel in this existence, all I want is an guaranteed painless death, I just want to cease existing peacefully and never suffer ever again.

Easy and gentle relative to other methods and resources. If there was a button, would be a lot less users here (me included probably!).

In those 3 Chinese SN videos posted recently none of them did any of the protocol, fasting, antiemetics, etc., they just took it. All of them threw up a lot. So it was harder. But they all still died relatively quickly. It doesn't have to be as bad as it was for them, which as far as suicides go wasn't too bad anyway.

It's horrible to think we may possibly end up maiming rather than killing ourselves. Would you be eligible for assisted suicide? If you have chronic illness. That's definitely something I would feel more comfortable with- if I were eligible. They obviously don't want a reputation for messing it up or, people passing in agony.

I'm checking to see if I'm eligible for assisted suicide. The main problem is that I live in Brazil, where euthanasia and assisted suicide are prohibited, and any procedure in a European country would cost a fortune.

I have no problem being labeled pro-life; I would like to live if I weren't suffering so much physically.

I don't think it's well studied academically. There's enough real life videos out there now you can amalgamate to get your own impressions about timing that are going to be far more accurate. Those 3 videos a case in point, and they did almost everything wrong, and still died within 30 minutes. We've seen dozens here now happen live with broadly similar results. It's not always within 30 minutes, but it's virtually always within an hour.

Chatgpt will help with pharmakinetics to predict loss of consciousness estimate based on protocol, I was at it for hours. Would be cool to team up with someone as in a bit scatterbrained now and have zero confidence, and would like someone knowledgeable to check work. Could potentially update standard protocol

I've chosen to use a shotgun. It's a high probability of death when put in the mouth and aimed at the back of the head. Very little chance of fucking up. Again it's not zero chance of failure, just slim. I wish you peace in any instance.

Hi friend, as someone with chronic illnesses with no cures and chronic pain 24/7, I understand how you feel. And not wanting to add more suffering and pain to what we go through on a daily basis. I saw those videos you mentioned as well, and they scared me as well :/ Especially since despite my illnesses, I don't have access to the full SN protocol, and will be going with just Tylenol.

Whatever you decide for yourself, just know that we're here for you. And respect and honor any chance you make for yourself. Sending you love and support

Unfortunately, assisted suicide is only approved for those who are terminal within 6 months or less (like cancer or ALS). And also some requirements include being above the age of 50. Those with chronic illnesses and chronic pain aren't always approved for assisted suicide :( It's actually rare. And even applying overseas, you have to pay thousands of dollars to even try to apply.
