I'm not sure if anyone has heard or posted of this device before on here but I found a site a while back where it talks about a device that painlessly kills you. The device is called the R2D ReBreather and it mentions on the site how to wear the device and how the device works. How the device basically works is just to put it on and breathe into the mask, the produces nitrogen from the carbon dioxide that you're breathing and it will make you subconscious in minutes while killing you painlessly in around an estimated 10-15 minutes.

Unfortunately the mask isn't coming out just yet and they're planning to release the mask when October comes around. The price for the mask is around $175 + shipping which seems pricy to some but it is risk-free compared to the cheaper, but more riskier and painful methods out there.

Isn't it just another form of the exit bag, except instead of using this special mask, you would use a cpap mask instead? Still this is pretty neat, thanks for the share mate!

Damn, that would be much cheaper compared to the total cost of my exit bag, and probably have less chance of failure.
Thanks for the information will definitely keep a look at it. Especially it's not restricted for people over 21years old.

I thought they had problems with the mask not working. But ya, that has been floating around for a long while. I would love to get a working unit so I can just use it. But idk if that will ever happen

The product was discussed just a little bit, only 1,200 comments on the linked thread. :pfff:

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/debreather-purchase-too-good-to-be-true.30913/

Two forum members reported attempting with it, both failed. One gave very little detail about the failure and soon after stopped participating on the forum, one gave a detailed account and answered questions. I can never remember the first member's name, but the second one was me. I don't recall when the other guy did, but the thread started getting interesting at post 1,033. I'm pretty sure he attempted before that, but I don't feel like going back through the thread.

WTF Is this marketed specifically for suicide? What other purpose could it possibly have?

Interesting concept! However, I have doubts about its commercial viability. I think the product could have been presented credibly with a live demonstration as opposed to a computer simulation. This will be the second time the R2D Rebreather is launched. And I believe a lot of people have already written it off as a commercial failure.

I think they would have more success just marketing the inflatable mask as a replacement of the plastic bag for the Exit Bag method. There is also the issue of the cumbersome -- if not haphazard -- third-party fulfillment process. I mean if you sell plutonium via a third-party, would not the authorities still find out who sold it? I do not quite understand the logic behind arm-length fulfillment. Why not use Amazon to fulfill orders? Why would anyone want to take the legal liability for fulfilling clearly illegal products? At least with nitrogen, you can use it for welding...LOL

Finally, in the back of my mind, I have a strong feeling that Dr. Nitschke has a monetary stake in this venture. He is really hyping this through his NuTech conferences.

GoodPersonEffed did you contact the company about it? It was taken off the market wasn't it because of flaws. Which they are meant to be fixing, i imagine before relaunch( or i would hope so!)

I worried that if I posted about this I'd get a bunch of questions. If y'all would, check out the thread beginning with the link I shared in post 8. I answered lots of questions.

@checkouttime, no harshness intended toward you. All my harshness is reserved for the maker of the product. You can read earlier in that thread as well as later quotes from emails he sent to members, and criticisms I made of him. My attempt only confirmed my suspicions and increased my disdain. I shared the links in this thread to show there's already a history and there have been attempts.

I can see your point actually. don't think i'd feel totally comfortable with complaining about something i bought to CTB.now you made that point!!

I was sort of looking it like you'd purchased something from your the supermarket, I actually don't know why aswell lol

I think i remember you talking about it actually, because i was looking into purchasing myself. if i remember rightly, i then noticed you thread!

I think I saw about this on the day I joined this site. It must be it was this year when the first version came out? Maybe it was an older post I was reading?

I remember thinking it seems too good to be true. I was very interested in it.

I don't mind complaining, I've just moved on from being angry and offended about the product and the designer/seller, but I still want people to get information to help them make informed decisions. My venting is still there in all its vent-y glory.

definately, and thanks for keeping us informed aswell by posting it.

the think is with this. Its not like ordering N, its a legal product, and is being produced for people to CTB, i assume by sum sort of professionals.

I do hope when they do relaunch it, it has been under better testing( i don't quite know how they do this)

Maybe it really is,too good to be true aas the thread said!!

BTW the post isn't aimed at saying you should of complained, i was just asking if you did out of interest!
