OK, first ignore anything that says there are 2 genders, because there aren't just two. Just to simplify Because there are intersex people.... people who's genitals are mutilated by dr's before giving to parents, or the parents even figure "well I want a boy so sew up the hole, and we'll remove the other things later" or "we wanted a girl, so wack off those dangly bits"--only to find out "oops, we made a mistake!" But they don't tell their kid, and then their kid doesn't know why they never feel right ever, and then their parents are like "oh yeah by the way...." Said as that even partially applied to a friend of mine... and she was pissed they halfway did things, but not completely, so she was left literally half male, half female (one chest flat, other like DD).

Oh and my intersex friend took care of things so she is more comfortable as a she now without the screwups even though she pissed off her family because "but we wanted a boy!" yeah, but she was a girl, and the male parts was malformed and not usable, whereas the female parts WERE functional--although sterile.

It's not like you just woke up one day and decided to become transgender just to upset everyone or mess with them. I'm sure it's very painful. Why would anyone purposely do that? The suggestion is just ridiculous. Transgender people are treated horribly a lot of the time. You have every right to be who you want to be. You shouldn't be mistreated or made to feel like you're inferior for being who you are. You seem like such a sweetheart. Since I can't give you a real hug, here's a virtual one.

I don't know which one is harder, when they leave a goodbye thread and you know they're going or when they just disappear. I suppose on one hand at least if they leave a goodbye thread you know that they're gone. On the other hand if they just disappear, you have hope that maybe they'll show up again.

I suppose on one hand at least if they leave a goodbye thread you know that they're gone. On the other hand if they just disappear, you have hope that maybe they'll show up again.

I think the not knowing--at least to me. I hate not knowing. I mean yeah knowing it might hurt, it may kill you, but at least you know, you can grieve, and you can either get over it, or given the board here, decide on, well, what will happen.
