I've been up for hours its 1.40pm here in the UK. Bright and sunny day, frosty AF this morning. There's a storm coming in on the jet stream from the Americas. I can hear the birds singing outside, they can feel the spring coming. I'd so love to go for a walk, but the woods are too far away from me now and down a big hill I'd never get back up. This was my favourite time of the year, that last ditch attempt by winter then the weather warms up. It just feels like mockery now.

Sounds like you're having a good day so far. I've always loved Spring and Fall the most. Although our winter has been unusually warm this year so it wasn't bad either.
Well I did go for a walk to the shop to post a letter, but I wish I had the mobility I used to have. I'd love to go for a long walk, but I'm stuck inside with the blind drawn so I can see the screen. And ofc I have to stay near the loo.
Winter varies a lot now in the UK. Actually, so does summer. I've definitely noticed a change. When I was young, summer was hot but not unbearable and winter was lots of snow but everyone still functioned. In the past few years, the hot weather has been punishing, then followed by storms and floods. The cold weather has been blizzard conditions, with massive drifts in some areas, then clear patches right next door. And the next day, unseasonably warm. There's less gradual pattern and more violent swings towards extremes.
