To keep a long story short, I was friends with a guy called 'A' and he wasn't shy about being interested in me. A few weeks prior, he'd asked to kiss me on new years and I politely declined.

He'd had problems with alcohol before and became very drunk at this party and began harassing people by trying to kiss them and talking to them about things along the lines of 'nobody likes me', 'I've never had a partner before' etc. I essentially had to follow him around because he was kissing strangers arms and explicitly flirting with peoples boyfriends.

He was grabbing me and kissing my head and telling me explicit things that he wanted to do with myself and other people.

Eventually, he was vomiting and I bought him a taxi that he couldn't get in because he was still throwing up. Someone there ended up calling an ambulance because his breathing was a bit off (I was there telling the nurses his name and date of birth because nobody knew it), he was fine and slept at the house then went home the next day.

He told me he remembered none of this. We stopped talking because he wouldn't apologise and didn't seem remorseful.

He's now telling people that I got him drunk on purpose to kiss him and that when he got home, he needed medical attention. I'm not sure how he remembers what happened, as he claimed he didn't remember anything at all.

As if I needed another reason to kill myself, now someone who was my friend is telling people I don't know that I'm responsible for assault.

Fortunately, you have a lot of witnesses who can vouch for the true story of what happened. Sounds like this guy's a total prick. I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's easily disproven.

Unfortunately, I tried to get him to apologise to the people who he was harassing and they told him that it was okay because he was very drunk. As if that's an excuse. I don't think anyone but me is upset at him for what happened. None of these people have backbones or the confidence to stand up against something that was uncomfortable for everyone.
