Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I would normally consider myself too low-functioning to work a job, but recently my parents found a part-time job for me which they threaten to kick me out if i dont go. Even though it's only part-time, I find it incredibly exhausting, and it takes up most of my day. It has left me feeling very unhappy, and I've been having thoughts about dying. When I'm able to spend my time however I want, I feel much better about life. even though it's far from how a "normal" person would feel like.

This job is only temporary, and afterward I'll have to return to college. But after that, I feel like I won't have any way out. I believe I'll have to work every single day for the rest of my life. Thinking about that makes me feel much more suicidal. i mean i already am but this is triggering. since it's taking away the comfort and forcing me to do something. also i know that i won't own my bussines or get a comfortable self-employed job or anything. too lazy/dumb for that. might come off as immature but honestly that's what i feel. no way people work for 30-40 years or more every single day.

This site really needs a "THIS!" button, because that's how I'd react to this post if I could.

But yeah wageslavery is hell. I can't believe it's generally accepted by the populace. I feel like I'm only just barely functional enough to do my job, but I feel exhausted every day. It's like my job is slowly turning me into some kind of robot.

Having to spend most of my life working feels like I'm serving a life sentence. I'm already doing full-time work and have been for over half a decade now, and it's destroying me. I absolutely dread the thought of continuing this for another 40+ years.

I'm sorry if this isn't really what you wanted to hear. :(

Yeah, the realization that lifelong labor is just an exhausting alienating grind is so accurate. The system is designed to drain you. But expecting work to provide fulfillment or comfort is also a trap. I just view it as a mandatory routine and try to strip away high expectations

I completely agree and know the feeling. Work is just slavery whether you get paid or not, because in this life, whether you work or not, you will always be a slave to money and endlessly paying bills until you die. The bills never stop coming and it sucks. If life were truly a gift, you wouldn't have to work like a slave for most of your life just to pay for it.

I understand this but also both my dad and sister died before they could even retire. Work is no longer a priority to me, truly living is. And if that means i have to make ends meet with the $400 my ex sends me a month, so be it.

Is it at all possible to find and do something that interests you? Could you somehow earn money spending time doing what you want? This is the only way I dealt with your situation when I was younger. I ended up studying environmental science and used my love for animals to drive me through the depression. I ended up educating people about conservation and actually loved working - until it all fell apart - but that is another story.

Even worse when i realised what I'm making in 1 month of full time work with regular overtime, is the same as what others make in 1 day (and I'm not talking about those influencers, CEOs or super stars).
