Suicide prevention just prolongs suffering. Forcing others to live to spare your own feelings is evil.
Every pro-lifer who makes the "ripple effect" argument claiming that our death hurts other's feelings too…what about
our feelings?
So our feeling of being in unspeakable pain and mental anguish isn't ok because it would hurt
your feelings if we choose to escape from it??
If my death leads to your life being slightly more upsetting, I think that's a small price to pay to spare someone from agonizing mental torture. If anything, you should be happy they got to go peacefully and at a time of their choosing.
You pray and hope that your bedridden 90-year-old grandma who's hooked up to a feeding tube doesn't suffer "too much pain" as she's becoming a skeleton and looks around in terrified confusion wondering when this living nightmare of visitations from people she's starting not to recognize anymore will end, and then when she eventually dies from a painful stroke, you comfort yourself by saying that "at least she lived a rich and full life, right up until the end."
This isn't a fucking fairytale, you evil bastards. Lives can descend into an unbearable state, and you need to wake up and realize it.
