• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

and for poverty, misery and end of life care. It was also a practice back then to serve wine for those who were about to be executed for a crime.

Proverbs 31:6-7: "Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more."

This was the ancient form of SSRIs I guess? Wine unfortunately works way better on depression and anxiety than most modern antidepressants. But be warned not to overdo it like I did, and ruined drinking by raising tolerance, kindling effect and withdrawals.

Another alternative is opiates which was also used since antiquity.

I would've rather had wine then have SSRIs and get PSSD. PSSD is a sort of final nail in the coffin. In hindsight, i would've chosen alcohol over SSRIs any day. I was fooled.

I mean, the Bible also has this shit in it

(Tw for incest and rape)
30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father."
33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and slept with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I slept with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
36 So both of Lot's daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab[a]; he is the father of the Moabites of today. 38 The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi[b]; he is the father of the Ammonites[c] of today.
So I wouldn't take it seriously, tbh.

That story is a story. It's not a prescription for incest. In fact, the law of Moses explicitly forbids such relations and the story of Lot and his daughters resulting in the ungodly descendants of Moabites and Ammonites is there as a cautionary tale for the Israelites. You taking a story like that as a prescription would be like reading a history book describing Nazi atrocities and saying the author is calling for another genocide. Lol
