There was a girl who posted here a few months back saying she had taken SN. She didn't wven know if she wanted to die in that moment and had just taken it off the cuff. I don't know if she was attempting to test it or was just semi attempting, unaware off how committed she was. It was pretty clear she wasn't in her best mind and she came across kind of numb and nonchalant. Some where a bit cruel to her in that thrrad. She posted some pics of herself over the short period of time she posted for. Her lips were already blue. She described feeling pressure in her head I think. She kind of typed semi legible sentences and then never posted after that. I wish I could remember the username she used or the title of the thread. Does anyone else remember this? Any chance you remember the username or thread title?
The fact is you will be blue. That's a commonly known unfortunate effect of SN. There's no way of knowing as to what degree it will effect any one person. It seems people found are always described as having a blue hue though. Not trying to scare anyone before anyone bashes me lol. It just is what it is.
Do you know how old she was?
I think there are a select amount of people that end up on this site who have not yet emerged from the cry for help/cry for attention phase and think methods like SN are some sort of scratch on the wrist.
It's bewildering to think they could come to that conclusion, especially since they can't just open their cabinets on a whim and toss down some random SN that's right next to the table salt, but I think the priority of "look at me" tends to override being sensible in some scenarios.
I don't think it's a good idea to be posting pictures in the public forum anyhow, not identifying ones.
I hate to say it but are you sure it was genuine and not a farce?
I've seen a couple threads previously where the fact of it being a real attempt or a genuinely suicidal person is pretty suspect.
If it was real, I think with that case and similar ones, the community here should not be afraid to tell them to contact help so they can get medical assistance.
We should be supportive, but also vigilant.
It's not our job and it's not this site's responsibility but it would probably be beneficial to all parties involved, even if the person became more sure about ending their life later on.
Suicide is a serious matter, being "nonchalant" is a major red flag.
(This coming from someone who sincerely wishes they had killed themselves as a minor to avoid further torment.)
We all gonna look like shit after we die. Some worse than other depending on the death.
I'd be more freaked out about being buried under with bugs devouring my corpse day by day. Ugh I hate bugs.
And some of us don't need death to make us look like shit..unfortunately lol.
Nobody dies and looks beautiful.
Nature will take its course, regardless of the method of your death.
This week, a friend died of cardiac arrest.
At the funeral, he didn't look like the same person. His skin looked darker.
I wouldn't worry about that, as funeral services have people trained to do good makeup.
I don't know why anyone would want an open casket wake/funeral regardless of their vanity or lack thereof.
I'm requesting that I go straight to cremation.
No services of any kind.
