I am abandoning my original plan. I'm pretty set on CO & tent method. Would this tent be suitable?

PU 3000
No top vent
Attached ground sheet

I would seal the seams with flex seal. Maybe the mesh? Idk how sealing works but I'll figure it out. I also plan to use either HVAC or duct tape for the seems. And cover the exterior with a tarp.

"Ideally" I'd use the regatta but it'll take weeks to get here. This seems to be a knock off version rly, yeah?

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Are you still doing it in a hotel, or have you considered another location?

A tent in the woods. I will still stay in a hotel the night before. But will not be attempting to ctb in a hotel. I would never consider CO in a hotel.. too dangerous for others.

I dont see anything wrong with that tent. I would use it. I, too, would add another tarp over the tent to help contain the CO. I'd use the flex seal on the mesh, too, a couple coats if necessary. I'm not sure how "tall" the tent is but, obviously, one would need to maintain some kind of safe distance between the charcoals and the tent fabric, either walls or ceiling. Whatever metal container the charcoals are in will get hot, too, so the container(s) needs to be placed on something to insulate it from the floor, like bricks of some sort. I would make sure I read everything possible about this method regarding best type of charcoal, how much charcoal to use (I myself wouldn't "play" - I'd use an entire 18 lb bag), how to prepare the charcoal (prepare outside tent and allow charcoals to become red/white hot before placing in tent), how long to wait to allow the CO to adequately build up (maybe 20 to 30 minutes), what to expect, etc. This is what I'd do for myself. I can't tell you what to do. Your decisions are your decisions.

Looks like a perfect way to leave this world to me.

A few drinks and maybe watch a movie whilst peacefully slipping off to sleep forever.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

YW.....but still not a substitute for investigating, reading, and thoroughly studying EVERYTHING you can find on the subject, here on SaSu, and anywhere else.

When you're dealing with something that has the potential to cause substantially life-changing brain injuries (e.g. retardation or persistent vegetative state) you want to plan this very carefully and make sure that it's not haphazard.

Your tent or confined space should be made of a highly insulated meaning solid tarp material, just Google ice fishing tent and you'll see that I'm talking about.

As far as CO goes you can get pure CO in canisters that they use to calibrate systems with. Some even have it in the 10,000 ppm, is Google CO calibration canister. It's basically just pure compressed CO gas in a can.

You can compliment that with the briquette method but you have to perfect it and test which type of briquettes and which temperature and under which conditions and for how long they will burn and produce maximal levels of CO using a sensor.

If you live in the us, then the fastest and most efficient way to go would be liquid nitrogen. Buy a 10 L Dewar for $150 and get it filled up at your local welding shop. You can then slowly decant it over a styrofoam bin or even in a hole in the ground. 10 L is enough to displace the entire atmosphere in a vehicle cabin, so you want to make sure that your tent is very well made and has a good exhaust orifice at the top.
