A few years ago now, my hair was a horrible mess. One night knot because i never even got out of my bed. My family was ashamed to be seen with me.
Then one day they held me down,
crying and with my arms behind me,
sitting on my back, hurting me
while they combed it all out
even as i promised i'd shave it off because they held me down and it hurt a lot.
And I think everything might be a little bit better if they had just once asked, why couldn't I just brush my hair, instead of holding me down and untangling it themselves.
