So, I've got my SN, and lately I keep thinking abou ingesting a little bit to determine:
a) how bad the taste is
b) how bad the nausea is, if it's going to be fairly bad from a small dosage I'd reconsider attempting without antiemetics
c) see if I get any symptoms at all, because I really can't do the aquarium test, so I just keep thinking "what if I drink it to attempt and then absolutely nothing happens? What if that's not really SN?"

I wonder if I can do it, or if that's a really bad idea. CTB prematurely would not be optimal, but it isn't something that scares me all too much. I probably wouldn't seek medical help unless I end up unconscious, so unless it will knock me out no one will know I took it. Although if that's likely to be very painful, I'd probably rather avoid that, but as far as I can tell SN isn't supposed to be very painful at all. I wonder if anyone else actually did what I'm thinking of doing, and what it was like? Or is SN supposed to be in an airtight container?

Bad. It really works, so don't play with it unless you are serious.

Okay, a really bad idea then. Thanks.
Although I wonder how do people do tests to determine whether they have the real thing? Does it mean that doing a test is likely to leave you with something that wouldn't work?

you can do a blood test or aquarium test. i advice aquarium but of course its youre choice.

it turning into nitrate, i think thats true but i dont think its right away however im not sure. what i am sure of is ive read where people have opened it to test it prior to ctbing. so for when you should test it, id wait for someone elses advice until then id assume youd wait until you need it (of course this leaves the problem with what if its not the right product and having to put it off)

Okay, blood test might be more realistic (although less reliable). But is opening SN and then re-sealing SN okay? Is it likely to turn it into nitrate?

I wouldn't, your stomach might get trained to throwing up salty drinks, you want to catch it by surprise on your big day.

It's going to be very salty, but you can handle it, holding your nose closed will stop you tasting it too much.

Never mind this trying small doses shit. Just test it with a blood test and/or aquarium test. The less you open up the Nitrite the better it will be preserved.

I will be taking a strong numbing mouthwash beforehand.

Opening it for a while is no problem at all

All I've read up on regarding how long your SN can be exposed to air leads me to think an hour at the very most. Not saying I know but from everywhere I've been reading that's where I would begin to question it.

properly stored, in an airtight container SN stays stable for at least 3 years. Some degradation into sodium nitrate may occur but it's slow. See attached docs for source.
I'd put in a few silica dessicant sachets if you open the container.

There was a member who did this a while back. I can't find the post but they've likely passed away judging by their last comments.
Only take SN when you're ready to die.

@crybaby did this a few weeks ago and most likely passed away. It was a very upsetting thread, she didn't want to die and it has stuck with me ever since. The only comfort is that she said she felt no pain. Please do not take any poisonous or lethal substance if you are not ready. Even ingesting a small quantity of SN can be fatal. I would hate for anyone else to go through that.

I took a sip not so long ago and the vomiting came after a minute around 3-4 times during an hour. Puking on SN is the worst trust me, and you also get mini burps that tastes like the salt which is not pleasent at all

In many ways going by accident like that is how I'd want to go. This is why we shouldn't know that curing salts can kill you because it seems unreal until it is. Poor crybaby
To the op I know I'm just repeating what other people have said but don't test anything. If it doesn't work you'll know when the time is right.
