Sorry for another post. I just want to ensure that I have the absolute best chance of never leaving the hotel room I check into soon.

From a few hours of research, SWB doesn't seem awful. However, it does seem like a lot of people are failing or unable to correctly pass out.

What are yalls thoughts on the SWB & air duster method? Why isnt this talked about more?

I was thinking about a bath tub. Kinda hunched over, so I'll pass out head straight in. I was also considering tying a weight or something around my neck.. thoughts?

Id have a playlist going, lights dimmed, flower petals around. A horrific scene when found, but beautiful and peaceful to me.

Are there any other methods, meds, etc youd add to this? Cutting before hand? I cannot get my hands on anything that isnt OTC or like common psych med.

Rn my plan for my hotel stay:
Partial (unsure if ill be able to)
SWB

I was looking into SWB for a while but ultimately concluded that it wasn't reliable. I think it's telling that it's a fairly simple method that has been around on this site for years and yet no one has succeeded with it yet (to our knowledge). The reason for its failure seems to be that most people can't hold their breath long enough to make it to unconsciousness before their urge to breathe kicks back in, which is why SWB is mostly seen in professional divers/breath-holders.

There also isn't good reliability for air dusters being able to make you pass out on command, mainly because it's unclear what the exact dosage you would need is. You could test it out, but that comes with its own dangers. From my research, there also seems to be some evidence that inhalation can cause hallucination/psychosis, and I don't know about you but I don't want to add that to my list of symptoms lol. See more toxicity information here.

I'm not saying not to try this, it just depends on your risk tolerance and whether you're willing to be a guinea pig for an untested method.

Air dusters and other solvents/aerosol propellants only produce very brief unconsciousness. You'd have to arrange a constant flow of the gas into your lungs to maintain it for any time (and I think even then the shock of going under and inhaling water would shock you out of it). I used to do do solvents as a kid and you rarely black out for more than a few seconds, plus as @Alexei_Kirillov says you can experience other symptoms like vivid/disturbing hallucinations.

read about somebody on this site who did try it, never made another post & people assumed it worked.

n=1 is not a very good sample size

One out of the maybe 3 that I have read who have tried? Seems pretty good to me.

I do not need you to make stats for me, thanks.
