Hello, before I end it all, I would like to (atleast attempt) to prevent any obituaries from being published on the matter, for my own privacy reasons, is there an official way can I do or is it just a matter of saying so on my suicide note and hoping and its respected?
I'm not sure if it can be "suppressed" legally, but it wouldn't hurt to try and request it.
I think most suicide-related obits get published, but the cause of death is often vague or not specified. I had a HS teacher who CTBed during lockdown, and the only reason anyone knew this is because of implications his relatives made in Facebook posts after. The actual obit was incredibly vague (usually they'll at least say something like "x died after a long battle with illness" or "x passed following an accident", his said absolutely nothing) on details.
