Is anyone here a suicide loss survivor? That is, someone who has experienced a family member, relative, close friend, or acquaintance dying by suicide.
I myself am one. When I was 4 years old, my father disappeared on the exact day of Typhoon Morakot — the strongest typhoon in Taiwan's history. He drove out and never came back. The car was never found either. There were rumors that he drove into the sea. He was also suffering from mental illness at the time, so I believe he took his own life. I was only 4 years old and didn't understand anything back then. I only gradually learned the truth as I grew up.

I'm not personally but there is definitely some who are on this forum that have lost someone to and could now be struggling with suicidal thoughts as well. I've been talking to one of them and it's heartbreaking.

Also, why do I suspect my dad committed suicide? It's because growing up, none of my relatives, not even my grandparents, ever mentioned him to me. They never said it was an accident, nor did they say it was suicide. This makes me really suspicious. I mean, if it were just an accident, there would be no reason to keep completely silent about it, right? If it were an accident, they would definitely talk about his past achievements, or say things like, 'Your dad was a great person, he just had an unfortunate accident.' By the way, my dad was only 43 years old at the time.
