Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

My least favorite phrase in existence. It is so shitty to tell people that their problems are temporary when you don't know the person or when they really aren't. Sometimes it is a permanent solution to a permanent problem. It can also undermine what the person is going through.
i hate that phrase and all the other empty words phrases that pro-lifers say like ''suicide is never the answer'' and shit like this

They gave me this BS when I was on suicide watch in the psych ward. Along with, ya know, God has a plan for you and all that crap. Empty platitudes like this don't belong in a mental hospital, in my opinion. It just made it worse.

Another thing that bothers me about this phrase is that it seems to imply that the choice is between dying and not dying when it's really just between dying sooner and dying later. All of our temporary problems are gonna be permanently solved at some point— some of us just choose to hasten the inevitable, because we're in pain, or because we're tired out— is that so wrong?

That quote makes me so fucking mad. Trauma is a permanent problem so we need a permanent solution.

I've never been able to understand what is supposedly so bad about a permanent solution to wanting to die anyway. The fact that death is permanent and is an eternal release from having the ability to suffer is exactly why not existing appeals to me. In my case the problem lies in existence itself so I certainly see death as being the solution, I envy those who die as then they don't have to deal with existence, it's not their problem anymore. I see suicide as suffering prevention, it's comforting to think of not existing.
