Suicide by chainsaw : painful, but sure and fast ?

I have to admit, that kid has bigger balls than I will ever have.
I'm revisiting this post because it exploded in my alerts all of a sudden, and thinking. Despite sounding like a stupid scene from SAW, if the chainsaw is of good quality, this could work, I imagine.
Considering what little I've learned from this site about anatomy, the carotids would be the ideal spot to start at. If I understand it right, you would pass out quite fast at the start and the rest wouldn't be much trouble in terms of pain.
The bigger problem, however, would be keeping yourself stable for the act, and the chainsaw has to be pressed consistently. This would take some engineering.
A small bed with a sort of... cut... in between your head and the rest of your body would be required, kind of like with a guillotine, except a chainsaw would be replacing the blade.
A second problem would be the chainsaw "eating" enough of you to get stuck somehow.
Hypothetically, if done right, this could work out. We now have proof of that.

I was thinking the same thing that he must have huge balls for even thinking of it.

But I have to add that passing out don't happen always due to big pain. There is video of a man cut in half by train in India that proves that. Wheels of train burned the blood vessels, guts etc. so that he didn't loose blood fast and stayed conscious for long. I'm sure he was given drugs to knock him out in ambulance but he was awake and moving and talking until the ambulance came. I very highly recommend not to watch it! It stays in your memory forever and makes you sick from your stomach.

Person who got stuck when climbing had to cut his own arm with not so sharp knife and he didn't pass out and was able to stop the blood flow and rescue himself.

I think that Alucard said that he meant that the saw would be used to cut just little where the big arteries are in neck. Cut to big arteries is a very fast and certain death if the person is not in hospital when it happens. Even then many have died when doctors have made a mistake. I was told I lost 4,5l blood after doctor partly cut my smaller artery and it happened in minutes.

Though if it doesn't knock one out then the fast loss of blood takes all the pain away and gives euphoria fast. But it would not look peacefull after.

Even thought of it still makes me sick from my stomach.

When the choice is slow painfull death from disease or old age and faster exit then there are better ways to go in pph. Ways that don't hurt at all and which will be more peacefull also to the ones who find the body. Also loved ones would suffer from media and news writing about it which most definitely would happen.

I concur, My God that would be painful. I don't know what would be worse that or jumping into a pack of feeding great white sharks. Dear Sir or Madam please research ideas on this forum, there are many that most certainly would be easier.
