  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I reckon it depends on the magnitude of the stroke.

A seizure - well, what kind of seizure do you mean?

@Buffy5120, my understanding is that you'd have dire lung symptoms before you'd have a stroke. And there's no way to guess exactly what a stroke would do to you. How old are you, what's your health like generally, do you live at home? And so on. x

Im 24 I have an auto immune disease called hashimotos hypothyroidism. I had a TIA (mini stroke) last year and neurologist said they saw small seizures when i was sleeping on an eeg i did. But i never till this day had a full blown seizure. I never had any health problems at all until i started antidepressants for my depression etc. I had an adverse reaction which caused the tia and seizures. One of my doctors even said it sounds like brain damage. Till this day I have been going through utter hell and have the brain of a 80 year old dementia patient. I have short term memory loss, cognitive issues, and visions problems all due to that one pill. So this is why im asking since i definitely could be at risk of getting a stroke since they have been saying the virus can cause that. I obviously want to ctb from it, thats why I plan on not calling ems for help. I'm basically trying to figure out if I do get a stroke or seizure from this virus will I just ctb or will I become paralyzed even after waiting 72 before calling the hospital?

I'm sorry you're suffering. I don't think anyone could predict the outcome a covid-related stroke would have for you. I'm sorry.

I imagine that in that kind of situation you'd panic and call emergency services anyway. If you're not planning to die that way I assume survival instinct would kick in.

My 90yr grandma had a mini-stroke and didn't seek medical attention. Her words were muddy/repetitive for a few days afterwards but ultimately nothing permanent came of it.
My fiancées mom had a really bad one a few years ago (in her 50s) but she did receive medical attention. As far as I know, again no lasting effects.

I've considered inducing a stroke in myself somehow or another, as I have one of the predispositions, but those two stories alone make me think that there's not a high enough chance of fatality to bother. Not worth risking Hospitalization debt or paralysis.
