I keep seeking connection even though I know I will kill myself in around 4 years. It may be an effort to keep myself sround, but why?

This is just my point of view.

With that said, sometimes, in the scheme of things, relationships, friends, life in general, the way things work out seem to be like "what the heck?", HOWEVER, I am a very firm believer that there is so much more to existence that we in this life will never know, and probably for the better.

Like the aspect of Karma and how situations sometimes turn out so unexpectedly, that there is more going on than we realize.

I always say and think, never say never. What goes around comes around, a couple of examples, and you being a good soul, there might be more to your life in the future than you or anyone knows.

I have had 2 attempts and then I found SaSu, so maybe, just maybe I was not supposed to go yet.

I feel you man. Safety and feelings of surroundness can help you immidiately, even though you know you'll kill yourself tomorrow. I'd say this is a survival instinct, to be together even though you know you're hopeless. And as @whywere said, life definitely can turns out so unexpectedly.
